log 1 - Day 3 & First Portraits


Okay! Day 3 has concluded for me, and it brings with it a series of updates:

- The opening cutscene is rigged up, only needs portraits and character sprites. This includes the establishing shots, opening dialogue, and a little free-roam segment before the first conveyor belt level.

- Backgrounds have been polished and cleaned up for visual clarity.

- Some assets have been updated to be more thematically appropriate. Namely, the graphics that would appear when you correctly or incorrectly make an order have been changed to clown faces.

- I've created placeholders for all backgrounds awaiting portraits or raw Game Boy Camera photos.

- The conveyor belt level has a small text tutorial before it actually begins.

- The first 2 portraits have been taken! These aren't going to appear until the second day forward, but they were the only two I could take without needing another human being in front of me. I re-used two of my best props from Gas Station Story, mostly just to give the impression that this takes place on the same planet.

And that's the majority I'll be able to complete this week. I've gotta work at the job for the next 3 days, so all I'll really be able to work on around my shifts will be the next batch of portraits. I'll post another update Monday night after I integrate them into the project and have more progress to show!
